target run

Went to Target today to spend some gift cards on mud boots. They ended up not having any in my size, but we purchased a handful of other things. I ended up have a grand total of $6 between 5 gift cards. Oops. I thought it was more than that. Matthias laughed and said he was so glad we made the trip to Target 😜 (side note: it was normal feeling in Target today. lots of employees not wearing masks, same with guests. lifts some of the weight off my heart.)

I’m out on the back porch right now about to do our little dream week update in my stories. Eliot and Matthias are asleep (or almost) and I have water almost boiling for a hot chocolate I’m about to enjoy. I love the quiet evenings. I love this tiny porch and this season of life where everyone goes to sleep and it’s just me. (And I love that being pregnant makes me so cold that I can have hot drinks outside. 😂)

standing!

I was so tired today and my poor kitchen is crying out for love. Tomorrow, I’ll do it. Yes, tomorrow. Today was a day for so many sweet snuggles and baby tickles. Not a productive work day, but a great day for my mama heart. Eliot was standing this morning when I went to get him from his crib. I couldn’t believe it. Not even 7 months old yet, but where is my little baby?😭❤️

ZYNG!

Came home to a big box full of Ningxia Zyng tonight (3 packs of the goodness!) and feeling grateful for all the yummy sparkly drinks options for pregnant mamas. 😂 I haven’t purchased Zyng is so long because it’s hard to spend $2.50 a drink when they come in 12 packs... but somehow I’m always fine picking up a $4 kombucha in HEB. 🤣 If you need me tomorrow, I’ll be poolside with some yummy bubbles ✌🏼

Out of focus, a lick instead of a kiss. It’s fine. This is fine. 😂 I am feeling SO tired. Like what in the world. It hit hard. Was I this tired in the beginning with Eliot? I don’t remember. Maybe the difference is having a six month old this time around.

Had a wonderful brunch with a dear friend, Katy. FaceTime meetings & phone calls & leftover omelette & an afternoon nap that didn’t help at all with the exhaustion. Got a bit hangry around 7 so we ran to Chuy’s rather than eating at home. A fulfilling day with just enough of people I like, work, home, and Matthias. ❤️

I do love tuesdays

At first I wrote, “I love Tuesdays”, and then I felt like that was aggressive considering yesterday I was talking about how I love Mondays. I can’t help it... I just love a lot of days I guess. 🤣 regular Tuesday meeting at The Grounds to discuss the fall festival (ever shifting, but still in motion!) and a meeting to discuss the pro-life campaign with Lily Kate. I am so glad my days are filled with things I love— people, art, food, home, health chats, so many happy things.

mondays

I love the start of the week. Monday’s are for diving into the list that always adds up in the notes in my phone over the weekend. There was a lot more on the list than I could actually get to today, but it still felt good to check some things off. These are the regular days that make up our little life & I’m happy with that.
