Your photos may not be flawless, but they'll be filled with love

June 16, 2023 Madeleine Frost

We can get pretty caught up in the technical details and strive for a flawless picture with impeccable lighting and composition. (I know. I understand the draw.😍)

But honestly… does it matter?

When you look at a photo of you and your children, what brings a smile to your face? It's likely not the picture-perfect quality… I’d bet it's the memory it represents.

That blurry snapshot of your child's first steps, the one where they're wobbly and out of focus? It's pure magic, because it takes you back to that moment when they took their first little steps into independence.

The emotions and the stories behind your photos are what matter.

Photographs have the power to transport us back in time, flooding us with warmth, love, and nostalgia. It's those memories that make us feel alive and remind us why we cherish these moments with our children so much.

Please don’t be stressing about having the latest camera or mastering all the ✨perfect✨ photography techniques. Instead, focus on being present in your life and capturing it in whatever way feels right to you. Whether it's a quick snap with your smartphone or a candid shot taken in a hurry, remember that the value lies in the memory, not the picture-perfect quality.

Embrace the imperfections, the blur, and the messiness, because that's where the real beauty lies. Your photos may not be flawless, but they'll be filled with love, joy, and genuine moments that you and your children will treasure for a lifetime.

So, keep snapping away (or videoing & screenshooting, like in my case here😉) and let those memories shine through. After all, that’s what makes the photos fun to look at. 🥰
